Columbia Blue Level Donor

Columbia Blue has been a part of the GFHS blue and white color scheme since roughly the construction and move into the new brick "Million Dollar School" that was completed in 1930. This article from the GF Leader on September 12th, 1949 says that Columbia Blue, which was patterned after Columbia University, was the original school color. That statement is only partly correct. Yale Blue (a dark blue) and White were the original colors for Great Falls High School adopted back in 1900. It is reasonable to infer that when the new school was opened, Columbia Blue and White were adopted as the "new school" colors.
